How Drone Recycling Works

Our streamlined process makes drone recycling simple. From the moment you request a quote to the delivery of your recycling certificate, we handle every step with care and transparency.

Processing & Recovery

Drones are inspected, data is destroyed, batteries are safely removed, and all materials are sorted into recovery streams: metals, plastics, electronics, and reusable components.

04

Certificate of Recycling

You receive a detailed Certificate of Recycling via email, confirming what was processed, material weights, and the recycling methods used. Ideal for compliance records.

Drone Recycling FAQ

What drone brands do you accept for recycling?+
We accept every drone brand and model on the market. This includes DJI (Mavic, Phantom, Inspire, Matrice, Avata, Mini series), Parrot (Anafi, Bebop), Skydio (S2, X2, X10), Autel Robotics (EVO, Dragonfish), Yuneec, Holy Stone, Potensic, custom-built FPV racers, agricultural drones, and industrial inspection platforms. If it flies and has a battery, we can recycle it.
Do my drones need to be working to be recycled?+
No. We accept drones in any condition — crashed, water-damaged, fire-damaged, missing parts, or fully functional. Drones with repairable components may have parts refurbished and resold, with the remaining materials routed to certified recycling streams. You receive a recycling certificate regardless of condition.
How much does drone recycling cost?+
For individual consumer drones, recycling is free. We provide a prepaid shipping label and cover all processing costs. For large commercial or industrial drones, there may be a small handling fee depending on size and hazardous material content. Bulk orders of 10+ units qualify for free pickup service. Request a quote for exact pricing.
What happens to my drone after I send it in?+
Your drone goes through a multi-step process: intake inspection, data destruction (flight logs, camera storage, GPS data), battery removal and safe storage, mechanical disassembly, material sorting (metals, plastics, circuit boards, wiring), and routing to specialized recyclers. Motors and cameras in working condition may be refurbished. You receive a Certificate of Recycling with a detailed breakdown.
How long does the drone recycling process take?+
From the time we receive your drone, processing typically takes 5-7 business days. You will receive your Certificate of Recycling via email within 10 business days. Bulk orders may take longer depending on volume. Rush processing is available for enterprise clients who need expedited documentation.
